Cutie UV was born of necessity. One sizzling afternoon in southern Arizona, the black tops were melting, the air conditioners were roaring, and that big ball of fire in the sky was bearing down with such intensity that everything living ran the risk of desiccating in the sun and blowing away on the breeze - had there been one.
I bought my first sun hat that day and discovered how fantastic life could be in the shade.
I've since been on a mission to dress for the forgotten element, the sun. It's a mission that takes a huge effort considering my hangouts: Arizona, California, Nevada, the high plains, Spain, south of France, and the oceans (I work at sea as a whale watcher).
For me, sun protection is for work, the car, the sidewalks, the parks, the outside tables at cafes, the way to the museums, the trips to foreign cities and archeology sites, the outdoor weddings, the walks in trees. It's not a matter for the beach. Heck! I don't even go to the beach! All those goopy creams and frumpy long-sleeved t-shirts just aren't cutting it for what this girl needs.
So here's to the future we're designing at CutieUV. It's modern. It's smart. It's healthy. And, of course, it's way cute!
